It is 62 in house right now but I am wondering if I should turn the AC off now or not. It is easier to keep a cool home cool than to try and get a warm home to cool down. Our AC is not that strong. Maybe I will wait for it to get to 70* before I turn it back on.:\

I am thinking we might should take the leap and get central air.

6 am and no place to go

Yesterday was a Tysabri day. I had been feeling a little closer to the MonSter and was hoping a treatment would energize me. After sleeping form 12-5 and then passing out again at 10pm I woke up at 6 am feeling pretty good.
The local forecast is calling for warmer weather and since we have been trying to get above 50*F most people are excited to see the sun and start spring, but the forecast is predicting 85-90*F will be coming this week. Shite! I am going to melt. After waking up at 6 to a bright cloudless sun blazing through my window I am starting to take Jeff Brenner a little more seriously. I am thinking about starting the morning by watering some of our plants and trying to get M to set up the AC before she heads off to work.

In other T Time news the MS group meeting on Wednesday was fun. I had gotten a Master Gardener to come and speak about container gardening. Most member live in Apartments so I was hopping this would be a good fit. The speaker Julie Davis, was great and the group members were very interested in learning about plants and how to take care of them. Some times it is a shock for me to see that the speakers I find, on topics I choose, are interesting to the group. They can be a hard crowd to read but they can be great fun. Next meeting I am planning pizza and a movie-Lorenzo's Oil. The film is not exactly a feel good flick but I hope it will empower the members to be open to searching for treatments and cures that the general pharmaceutical industry is ignoring. Well what ever I hope it is empowering in some way. And I know the the pizza will be:)

So the last two or three days I have been feeling much better. I generally go between using a wheel chair, walker, or two canes for short trips on level ground. But just before my monthly PT appointment I picked up my single cane (the type that attach to your upper arm) and started using it around my home. Took it to my appointment and kind of shock my therapist because I was walking so well. I am also starting to use my right hand a little easier. Now I have noticed these improvements for moments and then I am back to barely typing with more than one digit from my right hand or using my walker to support more and more of my weight instead of using it as a guide for balance. I hope this sticks:) My next infusion is scheduled for the 20th.

I am more than happy to see the spring days stretch into longer, brighter days. The winter weather has left me feeling like a hermit. I have been feeling more energetic in last week or so, and I hope it will last into the summer. M and I are taking a short road trip this weekend to see my sis and her family. I looks like it may be a nice sunny weekend!!

I have been stressed watching the candidates go back and forth and have been struggling with who to support and why I am supporting them. I started out for Hillary and then slipped into the Obama Camp and now have settled on Mrs. H.R. Clinton. I want to believe that Barack Obama is as clean and true as his speeches but there are just to many things left unsaid. So I stepped back and looked at what each Presidential hopeful is really saying. Hillary may not be supporting gay marriage and I am a Lesbian who believes that Gay rights are civil rights, but I also firmly believe that without the support of the people (even the ones in the red states) the constitution would be at risk of having a defense of marriage act added. More than that why does everyone hate her? I have heard she is too strong, not strong enough, or she is polarizing and will in general not be elect able against....well anyone. I was listening to the words of the two different health care plans. Complete government health care is another thing I truly believe Americans should have access to and, after reading that Barack's plan is for decreasing the cost of premiums so that people can afford to get care but not requiring enrollment, because some people may not be able to afford coverage. How is that different than what we have today? I mean I work with Washington state insurance commissioner's on health care plans through SHIBA and I need to say we need to move health care coverage away from employers and make it something that is not contingent on a persons ability to work. I mean when you really get sick ... most people cannot maintain coverage. Currently it is all up to the states how much to subsidize health care plans for people who cannot afford to pay for it themselves. Washington's plans are OK but there is still a gap that is too large for many people. I hope who ever makes it to the big white house is real about health care.

My last infusion was on Thursday. Though I feel better now, I felt like a pin cushion until a nurse found a good vein. I am seriously interested in getting a port and interested in hearing any comments about peoples experience with these implants.
Other than the hunt for a vein that could take a 22 gauge needle this infusion was unremarkable. No head ache, blurred vision. I did feel a little tired after the infusion and took a 3 hour nap when I got home. My Right hand is typing a bit better today, yay, I hope that last for a while.

On other news I have had to put Travian to sleep. RPG are too addictive for me to manage and the last few days I was not really having fun at all. Well live and learn. I am looking for an interactive on line game (maybe scrabble) that I can play with this new MAC OSX. I used to play scrabble, chess and other yahoo games on my PC but yahoo is not set up to work with OS X systems. I see that MAC software games that came with this system are set to work online but I think you need to have friends that have macs. Do you know of any MAC games online?

Well the weather forecasters were spot on and we will have a few feet of frozen white dust outside today:) I did not think it was going to fall but at 1:00pm the white stuff started to fall. If is sticks I will post some pixs ;)
